KC2026 maps out transportation plan for World Cup spanning both sides of the state line

KC2026 just rolled out ConnectKC26, a new transportation plan that will help people move easily around the metro during the big international soccer events coming in 2026. That means smoother travel between the airport, downtown, event zones, park-and-rides, and the stadium. For Lenexa, this increases access straight into Lenexa City Center!

We’re excited to support all the regional energy and to host three community watch events at Lenexa City Center during the 2026 tournament season. It’s going to be a great moment for the whole KC area and Lenexa will be right in the mix.
